THE PROCEDURE

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR TUMMY TUCK

To begin, the surgeon will create the incisions. Although some of the cuts can be quite extensive, our skilled surgeon will carefully place them to ensure that they are easily hidden with clothing and swimwear once you have healed.

Through those openings, the surgeon will tighten lax muscles, remove excess skin and smooth stretch marks. He may also perform liposuction to remove unwanted deposits of fat. Once your stomach has been successfully shaped and contoured, the surgeon will close the incision with sutures and place a surgical drain to prevent fluids from accumulating in the area. You will then be taken to the recovery room where we will monitor your progress as you awaken from the anesthesia.

How to handle the recovery
