THE PROCEDURE

What To Expect

Your surgical experience will vary depending on which lift you are having done. Both are performed under local anesthesia and our medical experts will make sure that you are still able to move your mouth naturally after surgery. Here’s what to expect during each procedure:

Upper Lip Lift

The upper lip lift will begin with our surgeon creating a small incision at the base of the nose and removing a precise amount of skin and tissue. From there, they will elevate the lip to a new, heightened position – exposing your teeth, increasing the amount of pink lip that can be seen, and restoring a beautiful shape. The entire process takes about 90 minutes to complete.

Corner Lip Lift

The corner lip lift can be done on its own or in conjunction with the upper lip lift. To perform the procedure, the surgeon will remove a small wedge of tissue from each corner of your mouth. As they suture the openings back together, they will subtly elevate the edges and create a softer and more relaxed expression.

LIP LIFT RECOVERY

How to handle the recovery

Once your lip lift is complete, you will be free to return home and begin the recovery period. Here is a quick look at what to expect as you heal:

Follow a soft-food diet for the first few days

Return to work three to four days after surgery

Expect swelling to persist for about two weeks and disappear within a month
